A 16-year-old boy, Yaron Ifrah has been on a mission to transform orphaned children's lives in Kenya through philanthropy.

Yaron who moves in between Kenya and Barcelona has engaged in several initiatives and hopes to do more over the years.

Speaking on his initiatives in Kenya, Yaron stated "I grew up in Nairobi, and those seven years were the foundation of everything I am today."

"Moving to Barcelona opened a world of opportunities that I never knew existed. It was here that I learned invaluable skills in technology and business, and I realised I had to use these to make a difference back home."

In 2021, Yaron set up a fundraising booth at Westgate Shopping Mall in Nairobi, an initiative that led to the construction of a borehole, and the donation of a water tower, solar panels, and a water purification machine at St. Paul's Children's Care Center.

All the items donated and projects undertaken at the centre were worth Ksh5.3 million.

During the same year, he organised a memorable day for orphaned children, partnering with local cinemas, bowling alleys, and restaurants to give the children an interesting day out.

Yaron has also spoken of his current ventures and has stated his interest in organising a marathon in Nairobi in collaboration with the Nairobi County Government.

He further detailed that he would be creating a foundation by the name Kenya Youth Foundation where he intends to host virtual fundraisings and events to cater for Kenyan Children.

In a separate philanthropic endeavour, popular Kenyan Comedian Eric Omondi has raised Ksh625,000 for a woman whose roof was destroyed by her landlord over rent arrears.

The woman whose, landlord had left her homeless after pulling out her roof over Ksh6,000 rent arrears, was stranded before the comedian came to her rescue.

Speaking after raising the money for the lady, Eric Omondi stated that he managed to move the woman to a new location and paid school fees for her children.

“We moved her to a new house and paid one year's rent. We took the children to a new school, and we have opened an account for her and deposited 300K which she can only access once she has a business plan,” Eric Omondi noted.
