Trade Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano's son on Saturday, April 6 tied the knot at a lavish traditional wedding attended by the CS, some of her cabinet colleagues and other political leaders.
The wedding was held in Nairobi where Peter Miano and Wambui Kibe committed to spending the rest of their lives with each other.
The Trade CS thanked friends and families for joining her family on the joyous occasion. She also appreciated her colleagues who also took the time to attend the wedding.
"Celebrated love with family and friends of Peter Miano and Wambui Kibe, a beautiful couple who complement each other in admirable ways. I wish the couple a lifetime of joy and God’s blessings," remarked Labour CS Florence Bore.
Environment CS Soipan Tuya who was also in attendance congratulated the new couple wishing them a long life and happiness in their marriage.
The wedding was also attended by Public Service CS Moses Kuria, Gender CS Aisha Jumwa, Water CS Zachary Njeru, and Health CS Susan Nakhumicha.
Others were the Secretary to the Cabinet Mercy Wanjau, Investment Promotion Principal Secretary Abubakar Hassan and Industrialisation PS Juma Mukwana among others.
Friends and family were dressed in traditional attire ranging from the Kikuyu traditional outfits to vitenges ranging in different colours which complemented the overall theme.
The bride and groom were dressed in brown attires resembling the traditional Kikuyu attire. They were seated at the centre of the venue.
Meanwhile, the tables were decorated in bright red roses as center pieces which did not overshadow the low-hanging flower-based chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
The CSs were all given a chance to speak at the wedding and take photos with Peter and Wambui.
In one instance, the couple was handed a traditional Kiondo bag containing goodies gifted to them by CS Bore.
Notably, Peter is one of Miano's children. The CS is married and lives with her husband but has kept her private life away from the limelight.
