Authorities Descend on Kabogo Hate Speech

Investigations into alleged hate remarks by Kiambu Governor William Kabogo at a ceremony in Thika have began.

National Cohesion and Integration Commission on Sunday, confirmed that it had received the video bearing the utterances by Kabogo that raised public outrage on social media.

NCIC Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo, said that he had handed the clip to the investigation team before the commission could take action.

Meanwhile, the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko said on Sunday that he would issue a statement concerning the matter on Monday adding that he had studied the content and would give further directions.

On October 25, Governor Kabogo said at Thika Stadium that CORD Leader Raila Odinga should stop being stupid, alluding that the foreskin made one's mind retrogress.

“You the press tell Raila to stop being stupid. And if they want to take me to court, I have the money to defend myself,” the Governor said.

He also warned Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama against insulting the President saying that if he repeated, they would go for him at his mother's house.
