A popular Nairobi-based bishop has been the subject of online ridicule after his estranged wife took to social media where she made damning allegations against the man of the cloth.
Bishop George Kamunya, who heads the Oasis of Grace Ministry in addition to regular appearances on K24 TV, was accused of soliciting nude photos from women in addition to sacrificing female members of the congregation.
The accusations went viral, especially on Kilimani Mums Group, forcing the Bishop to come out and defend himself.
“I have seen the post on Kilimani and all I can say is that I know this is the work of my ex-wife with whom we have a divorce and custody case in court,” Kamunya was quoted.
The painful allegations saw some social media users question the Bishop who is very vocal on marriage and relationship matters whenever he appears on TV or ministering at his church.
Kamunya admitted that the incident had taken a toll on his ministry and on his family but assured that the matter would be heard in court.
Kamunya’s wife, in her divorce papers, claimed that her husband had denied her conjugal rights, causing her a serious depression during the time of their marriage.
