A man was gunned down by two assailants on Saturday night near his home in Action Estate, Eldoret Town, Uasin Gishu County.
Moses Sankale, a businessman in the town, is said to have been on his way home with his wife when the gunmen pulled over on a motorcycle and shot at them.
The men had been trailing Sankale from town.
They took advantage of the poor lighting in the estate and ambushed Sankale and his wife, robbing them of Sh 30,000.
Sankale’s wife survived the shooting by hiding inside the estate.
After they left, neighbors rushed Sankale to the Moi Teaching and Referal hospital.
He succumbed to gunshot injuries after loosing too much blood.
Eldoret East OCPD Nelson Taliti confirmed the incident to the press saying they had launched investigations into the shooting.
