Car Stolen in Nairobi Found in KDF's 66 Battalion Camp Barracks in Gilgil

A private car that had gone missing two days ago in Nairobi has been found in an army barrack in Gilgil town.

Police detectives and staff from a tracking company were led to the parking lot of the 66 battalion camp located along the Gilgil-Nyahururu road.

"The car had been fitted with a tracker and the signal led the officers to the barracks and since they could not enter they sought the support of the police," a source revealed.

The driver of the Toyota Belta car, Nicholas Kamuta, had parked it outside a bar in Pipeline estate in Nairobi when he found it missing.

Efforts to find the person who had driven the vehicle into the high guarded facilities were fruitless.

The army officers failed to give the police officers enough information to conduct an arrest.

Police officers handed the car to the owner as they continued with investigations.
