A report released on Thursday by Mzalendo Trust has paraded counties with the most and the least active legislators in the 2015 parliament.
The study by the non-partisan project whose mission is to ‘keep an eye on the Kenyan parliament,’ put Siaya as the county with the best debators in parliament followed by Kakamega then Homa Bay.
According to the report Kimilili Member of Parliament Chrisantus Wamalwa Wakhungu and his counterpart of Taveta Naomi Shaban were the best performers last year.
However, the Mzalendo Trust report ranked three coastal counties lowest in terms of their active representation in the House. Coming last was Kwale, followed by Tana River then Lamu county.
The findings also revealed a total of 27 MPs who never contribute to National Assembly debates in the year 2015.
