Kenyans.co.ke sought to find out the truth behind the claims, which had raised concerns among Kenyans.
An official at Ruto's office rubbished the allegations stating that the DP was fine and he had accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta on a visit to Northern Kenya.
“That is not true, he is on official duty. He was here yesterday until 6.15pm and he has gone to North Eastern," our source said.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen also dismissed the rumours stating, “to friends calling/sending SMS about the wellbeing of DP, please ignore rumours on social media. I spoke to him as he left Nairobi for North Eastern,” Murkomen tweeted.
Alai linked Ruto's 'predicaments' to businessman Jacob Juma's death as traditional rituals performed on the deceased were set to punish persons that killed him.
Before his death, Juma had alleged that Ruto was obsessed with killing him.
