Drama as Boda-boda Riders Raid Police Camp

Drama unfolded in Kajiado after boda-boda riders raided an Administration Police camp following allegations that an officer had stolen one of their motorcycles.

The group of 15 riders forced their way into Embulmbul camp where they combed through the station, and unsuccessfully tried to break into the armoury leaving behind a trail of destruction.

Having hit a snag in their search, they allegedly called for back up from Ngong town. Managing to amass a number of 50 riders, they proceeded to Kerarapon AP camp to vent their anger on police officers.

According to the group, one of their colleagues had transported a passenger who introduced himself as an officer from the camp. Upon reaching the customer's destination, the supposed officer borrowed the motorbike to attend to an emergency but failed to return.

Confirming the incident, Kajiado North Deputy County Commissioner Kahiro Mwangi said that Ngong police officers managed to arrest majority of them who will be arraigned in court.

“No officer was injured in the raid because the riders left after they failed to get the person they claimed had been given the motorbike. I am thanking the police officers who intercepted those riders who were headed to Kerarapon,” Mr Mwangi was quoted by the Star.
