Duale Clashes With MPs Over Ruto Prayer Meetings

Members of Parliament from Nakuru are in discord with Majority Leader Aden Duale over claims that their Governor Kinuthia Mbugua, frequently and openly misses Deputy President William Ruto and Radio Journalist Joshua Arap Sang's prayer rallies.

In the recent meeting held at Suswa, Narok County, Duale expressed concern over the absence of Bomet, Nandi, Kericho and Nakuru Governors. He went ahead to mention that the Governor of Nakuru was among those who evidently skipped the rallies.

However, the legislators came to the defense of their Governor stating that Duale ought to focus on the prayer meeting and not scrutinize who was present and who was not.

“Duale should not make such statements in order to sound more patriotic but he should focus on the prayers,” Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria said.

The lawmakers lashed out at the Majority Leader citing that he ought not to interfere with the county's politics and leadership.

The leaders added that Duale's allegations were false as Governor Mbugua was always represented whenever he was unable to attend the prayers.
