A teenage girl from Ainamoi, Kericho County allegedly killed her two-month-old baby.
The 17-year-old girl is accused of committing the crime on Thursday night.
The suspect, is said to have resorted to the action after the child's father, who had promised to marry her ended up dumping her.
The teenager allegedly turned her frustrations on her infant child, brutally chopping off the head.
Upon realizing what their sister had done, the siblings of the young girl alerted neighbors since their parents were away.
Within a few minutes, the quiet home had been turned into a murder scene, with villagers completely shocked at the unthinkable act the little child suffered.
The villagers frogmarched the girl to Ainamoi Police post where she was detained.
Police in the area have launched investigations into the incident.
