Isiolo Deputy OCS Oscar Situma Found Dead at his House

Isiolo Deputy OCS  Oscar Situma was on Friday found dead at his home under mysterious circumstances.

Mr Situma was found lying on the bed at his house in Isiolo town at 10am.

Confirming the incident, County Commissioner George Natembeya said that the police had launched a probe into the matter.

"He was to travel home as he had asked for seven days off beginning January 5 this year, since he was on duty during the festive season. Another officer had seen him enter his house Thursday night — that’s how we found out about his death," Mr Natembeya said.

The body of the senior police officer was taken to Kirua Mission Hospital mortuary.

This comes days after newly-posted Marsabit Central OCPD, Senior Superintendent Abel Sande was found dead in his house.

Marsabit Central Deputy County Commissioner Joseph Nyakwara stated that Mr Sande could have suffered a heart attack.

"We found him dead on the sofa at around 7.30pm. We suspect he had a heart attack," Mr Nyakwara said.

Sande had just served in Marsabit for less than one month after replacing Mark Wanjala who served for six years.

He had been transferred from  Bomet, where he was stationed for one year, in the November reshuffle.
