Kalembe Ndile's Home Raided

Former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile's home was reportedly raided on Wednesday morning by a group of people who are said to have demanded money.

Mr Ndile reported the early morning invasion at his home to the police claiming that the intruders harrassed his workers which led the politician to believe that a burglary was in progress.

The group is said to have arrived at his home in three private vehicles prompting the former lawmaker to make an urgent report to the authorities.

The officers responded promptly, arrested and detained six suspects at the Mlolongo Police Station.

Ndile, who is also an official in President Uhuru Kenyatta's campaign team, described the case as politically instigated blaming his rivals for the attack.

"This is the work of my political opponents. They must explain to police who it is that sent them." Ndile threatened.

A lawyer representing the six claimed that they were representatives of an auction company authorised to recover property over a debt reportedly owed by Ndile to two women.

"I represent two women who are former employees of Mr Ndile. The Labour Relations Court ruled in our favour and authorised auctioneers to recover monies owed to the two women," the lawyer explained.

The former MP, however, asserted that his lawyer had confirmed the case had been dismissed years ago, maintaining that the incident was political.

"Auctioneers do not come to your place in small cars. If at all they were auctioneers, what property did they hope to carry in three small cars carrying six people each? Besides, shouldn’t they have come through the OCS?" Ndile posed.
