Kalonzo Musyoka Warns Raila Odinga at ODM National Delegates Convention

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Friday afternoon warned ODM Party boss Raila Odinga, not to forget the other parties in the National Super Alliance (NASA).

Speaking at Kasarani stadium during the ODM's National Delegates Convention (NDC), Musyoka stated that the other co-principals had sacrificed a lot and given a huge responsibility to Odinga ahead of the August 8 polls.

Musyoka categorically urged Odinga not to deviate from the course and think that ODM can do without the other NASA partners.

“To you whom much is given much is expected...Safari hii isiwe ikaingiliwa na ujeuri...ujeuri huo will be costly...I want you to know that even friendly fire kills,” warned Musyoka.

He added that this year's elections would be different since they would employ all instruments possible to seal loopholes that cost them the presidency in 2013.

Safari ile ingine nilikua mgombea mwenza, na tukaja Kasarani lakini wizi wa kimtandao ukatendeka....(The other time I was the running mate and we came to Kasarani but votes were stolen electronically).

"Yale yalifanyika 2013 hayawezi fanyika 2017. Wizi wa kura hautaruhusiwa...(What happened in 2013 will not happen in 2017. Rigging of votes will not be allowed), Kalonzo highlighted.

The former vice-president also took a swipe at aspirants seeking elective seats as Independent candidates, noting that they lacked commitment to the parties they defected from.

Musyoka lamented that the Independent candidates lacked and did not share the vision and aspirations of the parties.

Raila Amolo Odinga was at the same venue officially unveiled by over 4,000 ODM delegates and handed the ticket to face President Uhuru Kenyatta come August 8.
