Nairobi residents are set to be treated to exclusive fun this Sunday in a mega event featuring 10 celebrated Kenyan artistes.
Safaricom, Kenya's leading communications service provider, will hold the Kenyan All Stars Jazz Edition aimed at commemorating the International Jazz Day.
The mega event, which will be held at the Carnivore Grounds on Sunday, April 30 will be one of three of such concerts set for 2017, with the rest being held in July and November.
Attendees are set to enjoy fantastic acts from the Ghetto Classics, Kenyan Bands and artists who have been performing since the inception of the Safaricom International Jazz Festival, five years ago.
Among the eagerly anticipated performers include renowned artist Kavutha Mwanzia, Chris Bittok, Juma Tutu, James Gogo, Edward Parseen, Eddie Grey and Jacob Asiyo.
Lovers of jazz music will also be entertained by a number of local bands including Shamsi Music, Mwai and the Truth Band and the Nairobi Horns Project.
Tickets for the event which will start at 2 pm are going for Sh2000 for the regulars and Sh500 for students and will be available at select Safaricom shops, Michael Joseph Centre and through m-ticketing by dialling 1511.
Proceeds from the concert will be channelled to funding Ghetto Classics, an organisation that uses music education to provide the youth with opportunities to better themselves and the community.
