Kenyan Student Found Dead in US River

The body of a 21-year-old Kenyan student in the US was recovered from a river by Massachusetts State Police after he was announced missing last year.

The deceased, Dennis Njoroge, had not been seen or heard from since November 29th, when he last talked to his parents.

The media arts student at the Northeastern University was discovered dead on Thursday at Charles river after disappearing for more than a month, leaving many devastated.

University President Joseph E. Aoun stated: "Since Dennis’ disappearance several weeks ago, many members of the Northeastern community joined city and state law enforcement officials in a sustained effort to locate him. We have confirmed through our work with the Massachusetts State Police that the search has now ended."

Auon added that the Northeastern community had organized a counseling service for Njoroge's family and friends after the traumatic news.

According to investigators the body did not have any signs of outward torture.

Njoroge who was a basketball player at the varsity was set to begin working with a television news station in Boston this January.
