Kenyans were on Tuesday engaged in a debate on various topics among them the National Super Alliance (NASA).

The National Super Alliance has been trending after the four principals' weekend retreat failed to settle on a presidential flag bearer.

Last week, a leaked report indicated that the Alliance's technical committee had settled on a Raila-Kalonzo ticket but indicated that the final decision would be made after the retreat.

However, after the three-day meeting which ended on Monday, it emerged that the leaders had not agreed on who among them was best placed to take on President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 General Election.

Most of those who commented on the hashtag expressed their opinion as to who should be the presidential candidate as well as his running mate.

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) was trending after holding a briefing to discuss the role of the media in elections.

Most comments on the hashtag revolved around the importance of peaceful elections and the role of the media in ensuring the polls are well conducted.

The hashtag has been trending after an online campaign was launched aimed at kicking aspirants with integrity issues out of the upcoming election.

The initiative dubbed Redcard Campaign aims at ensuring aspirants with corruption allegations are not allowed to vie for elective posts.

Maseno School

Maseno School was among the top trends after its Board of Management tendered its resignation following the interdiction of the school principal.

The Principal Mr Paul Otula was interdicted over allegations of sodomy and student harassment in the institution.

The Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB) CEO seemed to have excited many on social media after earning an international recognition for his role in child protection.
