Kiambu Senatorial Aspirant Karungo Wa Thang'wa Rejects Ferdinand Waititu's Job Offer

Kiambu Senatorial aspirant Karungo Wa Thang'wa has rejected an offer from Kabete Member of Parliament Ferdinand Waititu to get a government job once the latter becomes Kiambu Governor.

Waititu is said to have promised the young politician the job after he lost the Jubilee Senatorial nominations to incumbent Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi.

The Kabete legislator addressed Mr Thang'wa during a public forum claiming that the job offer was in order to avoid possible fights between the two when either of them loses.

"I will not support you as an independent candidate. I want you in the Jubilee Party and in my team.

"Tell us the position you want to be given when we assume leadership but don't ask us to support you as an independent candidate," Waititu told Thang'wa, who is Ngewa Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA).

The MCA, however, told the Daily Nation that he has no intention of taking the job.

"I am in the race till the end. Pulling out would mean shuttering the hopes, dreams and aspirations of Kiambu people who were denied their win during the just concluded Jubilee nominations," Thang'wa asserted.

The MCA added that only President Uhuru Kenyatta and the people of Kiambu could convince him to change his mind.
