KOT Infuriated over CNN’s Depiction of Kenya

The hash tag #SomeoneTellCNN trended worldwide within hours after Kenyans took to social media, accusing Cable News Network (CNN) of painting the country in a bad light.

Kenyans were enraged, when during their coverage of Obama’s visit into the country, CNN termed Kenya as a hotbed of terror.

The newtork tweeted the story using the same remarks, angering Kenyans who demanded an apology.

Most posted positive stories in an effort to show that there is more to the country than terror.

Leaders also joined the bandwagon, criticizing the network over their remarks.

Speaking to Capital Fm, Foreign Affairs and International Relations ambassador Amina Mohammed termed the remarks as unfair.
