The government has banned the broadcast of the video allegedly shot by Al Shabaab militants before and during the failed Lamu attack two weeks ago.
In a statement to media houses, Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery warned that there would be legal action taken against those found broadcasting the video.
Bloggers, writers and online journalists were also warned of severe consequences if they published the video, Citizen Digital reports.
The ban comes a day after a video was released online showing the Al Shabaab preparations of the attack and the attack itself.
The video was allegedly shot by British national turned terrorist Thomas Evans who was killed during the attack.
KDF soldiers managed to thwart the attack that led to the killing of 2 KDF soldiers and 11 suspected Al Shabab militiamen.
