Larry Madowo, Boniface Mwangi Force MP Caught on Wrong Side of Road to Reverse

Human rights activist Boniface Mwangi on Wednesday embarrassed a politician after he found him driving on the wrong side of the road.

Mwangi, who was driving alongside NTV news anchor Larry Madowo, met the politician who is said to be Mwingi West Member of Parliament (MP) Bernard Kitungi, driving against oncoming traffic along Parliament Road.

The Landcruiser, which was heading from the National Assembly towards Uhuru Highway, was being driven on the right-hand side instead of the left.

The lawmaker's driver required Madowo who was behind the wheels to pave way for him to pass despite being on the wrong side.

Mwangi and Madowo, however, stood their ground and maintained that they would not allow the Wiper MP to break the law with the whole encounter being recorded on camera.

“Why are you on the wrong side. Reverse the car because you won't pass through this side. Who are you? We pay your salaries and yet you disobey traffic rules. No one is special because laws should apply to everyone,” stated Mwangi.

The confrontation caused a commotion along the busy road forcing the intervention of a traffic police officer.

This forced the unidentified MP to take the walk of shame and reverse for some distance in order to join the right side of the road.
