Atleast 10 suspected cattle rustlers are reportedly feared dead following a heavy gunfire exchange with police officers in Isiolo.
According to Police reservists in Attan area, Isiolo about 100 suspected bandits invaded the area 6am Saturday intending to steal livestock, Citizen Digital reports.
Confrontation is then said to have ensued sparking a shoot out between the police and the suspected raiders.
Confirming the incident Director of CID in Isiolo County David Cheruiyot has said the exact number of casualties has not yet been established.

Confirming the incident Isiolo County Commissioner Wanyama Musiambo has said 40 cows were also shot dead by bandits during the fighting.
One of the victims who sustained serious gunshot wounds has been taken to Kenyatta National Hospital while other victims are receiving treatment at the Isiolo General Hospital.
According to the County commissioner Security officers are pursuing the attackers who fled towards the Isiolo Bufallo Springs Park.
