At least 7 Dead, Several Seriously Injured In Tragic Accident

At least seven people have died in a fatal car accident in Salama, Makueni county.

The Kenya Red Cross, through their twitter handle reports that 8 others were seriously injured in the accident that involved a mini bus and a truck.

Reports indicate that the Thursday morning accident occured after the speeding minibus collided head on with a truck.

The injured were rushed to Machakos Level Five Hospital.

Another accident is said to have occurred at the same place three days ago with several fatalities reported.

In another accident in Embu County, a woman died on the spot after she was hit by a car on Wednesday evening along the Embu-Meru Highway

According to The Nation six other persons suffered minor injuries when the saloon car swerved off the road and hit them before plunging into Kapingazi River near Kangaru Market.

The driver of the saloon car was trying to overtake a lorry when he lost control of the car, hitting the woman who was cutting grass along the road.
