A man caught having sex with a sheep in Gitaru, Kiambu County, narrowly escaped death after he was thoroughly beaten by locals before being saved.
Residents said that the suspect together with two other men who fled the scene, sexually molested four in a flock of sheep, leaving one dead and three others injured around their reproductive organs.
The owner of the flock, Jane Kihanya said that upon asking the suspect what he was doing, he blatantly asked if the sheep was hers.
“He told me that the sheep was dying and that he was telling it not to die. He then excused himself then took off and that is when I raised the alarm,” said Ms Kihanya.
The suspect was saved from the hands of angry mob by police officers who arrived at the scene and took him away.
Area residents attributed the embarrassing behaviour to drug abuse among the youth.
Police launched a manhunt for the other two suspects.
