A man was killed on Sunday while attempting to separate a couple that was fighting at their home in Lunga Lunga, Nairobi.
Stephen Njoroge, 28, was stabbed on the neck by David Macharia Mwangi and bled profusely, before being rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Mr Mwangi was allegedly confronting his wife, Lucy Njeri at 8.45pm, when Mr Njoroge heard the commotion and rushed to calm the situation that had already turned violent.
The deceased, who was a neighbour to the couple, ended up as the victim while playing good samaritan to stop the fight.
Police who reported to the scene said the knife used to commit the crime was not found.
The wife and son to the alleged killer recorded statements with the police as they awaited further investigations.
