Meru Governor Peter Munya's gun is reported to have gone missing from his Garden estate home in Nairobi.
The Governor is said to have gotten home on Sunday and found his pistol which had 14 bullets missing.
After searching in vain, he reported the matter at Kasarani police station and a probe into the disappearance of the weapon has since been launched.
