Miguna Miguna Talks On Being Nairobi Governor

Former Advisor to Raila Odinga, Miguna Miguna, could be the latest politician to join the scramble for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat after expressing interest on national television.

Speaking on KTN's Jeff Koinange Live, the Canada-based lawyer said that he would wish to vie for one of the seats while severally mentioning the capital's governorship claiming that he was the only clean contender.

“I maybe in one of these races. The only thing is that they have looted and they have money and I don't. If Kenyans are ready to wake up they could elect me,” he said.

He added that he would be ready to clean City Hall and wipe out corruption cartels that had been ailing the country for a long time.

“Maybe I should reform TNA and reform Nairobi,” he hinted.

The former political advisor to CORD leader Raila Odinga went on to justify his stand saying that he is the only person who didn't have a record of looting from the public.

This adds to the growing list of persons interested in the County's top job with more entrants floating their interest.

The backing of former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru by sacked County Minister Evans Ondieki for the governor position has particularly caused discord with the incumbent Governor Evans Kidero.

On Wednesday, Kidero welcomed Ms Waiguru to the race with a blow after accusing her of using the National Youth Service to build her political career thus causing the department to fail.
