A Nairobi Court has ordered fake doctor Mugo wa Wairimu to be detained for 14 days to allow the police complete investigations into allegations that he sedated and raped female patients at his clinics.
Senior Magistrate Charity Oluoch said that Mugo would be detained at an undisclosed location citing security reasons.
Head of the special crimes unit set up to investigate the matter, John Kariuki said that Wairimu was to answer to charges of rape and indescent assault.
Mugo was Friday morning arraigned at the Milimani courts after being arrested in Limuru where he was spotted at a hotel by residents who called in the police.
The 'doctor' exposed by Citizen TV last Sunday, remained defiant claiming he had evidence that some individuals who had been trailing him for the last three years had been paid to frame him.

It is reported that by Thursday, four women had recoreded statements accusing Wairimu of rape.
Mugo who was confirmed to have been a Nursing student at the University of Nairobi in the period between 1996-2000 was disowned by Kenya Medical and Dentists Practitioners Board saying he was neither a registered nurse or a doctor.

The Nursing Council of Kenya also last week revealed that the suspect who was operating illegal clinics at Githurai 44 and Zimmerman estates was not registered with them.
