Musalia Mudavadi Cautions NASA Co-principals Against Quitting

National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has denounced any move by his co-principals to go it alone in the upcoming polls as a fruitless and detrimental undertaking.

In a statement, the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader stated that NASA was never about personalities but a movement seeking an opportunity to harness the fertile talent and experience within its leadership to make Kenya better.

Mudavadi cautioned his colleagues that NASA would not be diverted by the action of a single leader to hand out victory to the ruling party, Jubilee.

He denied rumours that rifts were emerging in the Opposition outfit and pointed out that NASA was a united force with a collective Presidential ticket.

The former Deputy Prime Minister added that fears of NASA’s disintegration due to differences over the flag bearer were unfounded and baseless.

He stated that they were one formidable force that had solutions to the problems the country was currently facing.

His sentiments follow remarks by NASA coordinating committee co-chairman Siaya Senator James Orengo who flatly rejected notions of turmoil in the coalition between ODM leader Raila Odinga and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Mr Orengo emphasised that issues over the previous memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two, were non-existent and were being blown out of proportion.
