Mwai Kibaki Stranded in Kisumu After Flight Delay

Former President Mwai Kibaki was on Saturday morning stranded at the Kisumu International Airport.

Mr Kibaki was among 44 other passengers who were delayed to board a domestic flight to Nairobi.

Commenting on the incident, Kenya Airways Chief Executive Mbuvi Ngunze noted: "The turnaround times can tend to be longer than anticipated. During peak seasons like this it is normal to have rotational delay."

The former Head of State was caught up in the delay hours after attending a graduation ceremony at the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in Kakamega County.
