Nairobi Gang Led By Elderly Woman Now Wants to Kill

Yusuf Abdallah, the man who exposed a gang led by an elderly woman now says his life and that of his family is in danger.

Abdallah said that he had been receiving death threats from unknown numbers after he recorded statements at Lang'ata Police Station concerning the gang, whom he knew some of the members.

“They called me and they told me to stop this madness of exposing these people and they asked me to withdraw the cases of assault. If I fail to do that, I will know that they have powers in Nairobi and they will come and finish me and my family,” Abdallah told NTV.

The gang of five, with members of the Asian decent among them three women, is said to have been robbing M-Pesa shops in Nairobi.

It is reported that an elderly woman who leads the gang, provides distraction as the other members steal money.

The police confirmed that they were investigating another case of an M-Pesa robbery in Lang'ata believed to have been carried out by the same group.

Police are holding a car with the registration number, KCE 529M, believed to have been used by the suspects who escaped a trap set to nab them.

The suspects are yet to be arrested with reports suggesting that they may have fled to Mombasa.
