Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua Waives House Rent Payment for County Estate Residents in Naivasha

Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua surprised residents after he discontinued house rent payment for County estate tenants in Naivasha.

This was after the Governor made an impromptu visit to the estate.

In what he described as an Easter gift, Mr Kinuthia also waived rent arrears accumulating to millions of shillings.

Mr Kinuthia stated that the residents were free from paying rent until their houses were refurbished.

The Governor is hoping to defend his seat on a Jubilee ticket in the August polls.

He will be competing against former National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) chairman Lee Kinyanjui, former National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) John Mututho and incumbent Senator James Mungai.
