NASA to Hold Rally at Uhuru Park on April 27

The National Super Alliance (NASA) on Thursday announced that the outfit would hold a major rally next week in preparation for the upcoming polls.

Speaking during the Alliance's meeting at the Bomas of Kenya, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula stated that the Opposition's mega rally would be held on April 27 at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.

Wetangula added that NASA had already secured a permit for the event which he urged “millions” of their supporters to attend.

Wetangula divulged that the outfit would outline its leadership at this forum, with many now expecting that it is at the rally that the presidential flag bearer would be named.

During the Bomas forum attended by hundreds of party supporters, the Alliance welcomed Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto as the fifth principal after which the leaders announced the formation of a NASA pentagon.

At the same time, ODM leader Raila Odinga expressed his joy in having Ruto in the Coalition maintaining that he would fight for devolution within the outfit.

He added that Thursday's conference was the beginning of a series of events that NASA intends to launch in the next two weeks.

He further maintained that the principals would soon unveil a manifesto which he said would be a contract between them and the nation.
