NASA Team Finalises Negotiations on Flagbearer

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has announced that it has finally selected its presidential flagbearer.

Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama who is a member of the National Coordinating Committee tasked with coming up with the Alliance's candidate disclosed that NCC had finally completed its task.

According to Muthama, all that was left to do is revealing the chosen candidate which he said would be done by the end of the month.

“We have accomplished our duty and by the end of this month, we will have a date with Kenyans to tell them who will lead them towards the August 8 polls victory,” stated the senator.

The NASA technical committee is said to be concluding its report on the negotiations which have been ongoing for more than a month.

A source privy to the deliberations disclosed to the Standard that the flagbearer would be named by Friday next week.

Negotiations on who would lead NASA in the August 8 General Elections had threatened to break up the Coalition which was unveiled in February.
