Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) disciplinary committee on Saturday summoned Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong and Funyala Member of parliament (MP) Dr Paul Otuoma over chaos that rocked a public rally in Funyula on Friday.
In a statement sent to Newsrooms, ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale stated that the Disciplinary Committee had invited the two (Hon. Ojaamong’ and Hon. Otuoma) to appear before it on Monday, April 10 at 2:30 pm to shed light on the incident.
“The party condemns in the strongest terms possible all acts of violence and maintains that nobody will be spared if found to be involved in such ugly incidences,” he emphasised
The violence broke out on Friday evening after supporters of the governor invaded a meeting that had been called by Mr Otuoma leaving one person dead and scores others injured.
The clash came just a few days before the two leaders face it out on the ODM party nominations.
Dr Otuoma and Mr Ojamoong are battling for Busia Governorship on an ODM ticket.
