ODM Spokesman Phillip Etale Warns Matiang'i over Attacks on Raila

ODM Communications Director Philip Etale has sent out a warning message to Education CS Fred Matiang’i after the CS made unflattering comments about Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Etale took to his Facebook account where he warned Matiang’i not to insult Odinga.

Etale further threatened to start a war of words against the CS if he did not stop attacking the former Prime Minister.

“Matiangi please, you think what you have done on exam cheating will give you energy to insult Raila. Btw, if you want vita vya maneno, endelea...(By the way if you want war of words, continue…),” he posted.

Etale was reacting to comments made by the no-nonsense Education boss where he called on Kenyans to vote for leaders based on their development records.

Matiang’i had spoken during a fundraiser held on Saturday in Nyaribari Chache where he was reported to have hit out on Odinga stating that the opposition chief's activities are non-developmental.

“It is clear that the opposition leader has no clear intentions. He only goes to markets and funerals without any developmental agenda,” Matiang’i stated.

The CS also challenged the former Premier to give Kenyans an explanation on his development record during the “many years he has been in leadership”.
