This is the Only Man Who Can Summon Raila - DPP

Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett has been directed to act on the allegations that Raila Odinga and other politicians were involved in fixing Deputy President William Ruto in his case at the International Criminal Court.

On Monday, Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko said his office had asked the IG to investigate Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria's claims, and record statements from those he alleged were involved in Ruto's implication.

"I have no powers to issue summons. I directed the IG as required by law and I am waiting for the file from his office, to take action," Tobiko said.

Tobiko is also waiting for the files in order to decide whether Kuria should be prosecuted for his alleged role in the saga .

The DPP is waiting for a response from Boinett's office before taking proper action on the accused persons.

Kuria claimed that Raila Odinga, Martha Karua and Kisumu Senator Anyang' Nyong'o had a hand in implicating Ruto at ICC, claims disputed by the three who are now in the Opposition.

Jubilee and CORD leaders have since been at each others throats about who fixed who in the ICC saga .

ICC Chief Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda has not responded to the on going debate on accusations of witness coaching in the cases facing William Ruto and Joshua Sang.

“As a matter of policy, the office of the Prosecutor will neither confirm nor deny media reports about the office's investigative activities”, read a statement from Bensouda.
