Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Aspirant Arrested in Narok After Being Found With Marked Ballot Papers

Police have arrested an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party aspirant in Narok County over allegations of ballot stuffing.

According to sources, the aspirant, Peter Oiboo Morintat, an aspirant for the Kilgoris Constituency seat was nabbed at a Kilgoris hotel along with seven other suspects.

Morintat and his accomplices were allegedly stuffing hundreds of marked ballot papers in favor of a woman representative and the Kilgoris constituency seat.

The seven are reportedly being held at the Kilgoris Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters, where they are being questioned over the matter.

This comes in the wake of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party nominations hitches that have resulted in the cancellation of gubernatorial nominations in Busia and the rescheduling of parliamentary nominations in Matungu, Kakamega County.

According to reports, the decision in Kakamega has been arrived at by the party after the names of two aspirants for the area’s Parliamentary seat, were not found on the ballot papers.
