Makueni County Assembly offices were on Monday burnt to ashes after a fire broke out at the premises.
The 3am inferno also razed down the Speaker's office, the chambers and other nearby offices.
It is reported that the situation was contained after two hours and the police sealed off the area for further investigation.
The area acting Deputy OCPD John Kamau told Kenyas.co.ke that the entire premises was burnt down except the Deputy Clerk and Account's offices.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established, however, it is speculated that an electric fault by a computer could have caused the Monday morning incident.
