PHOTOS: NTV Journalist in Accident

Nation Media Journalist Lolani Kalu and investigative Journalist Yassin Juma are nursing injuries after they were involved in a grisly accident Sunday on their way to Garissa.

The two were headed for the reopening of the Garissa University College which was shut down in April last year, following a terror attack that claimed 147 lives.

The Journalists were in the company of Northern Advocacy Organization members Alibash Mohamed and Mohamed Dakane together with the new Mwingi Kadhi DhulKifl Karanja, when a saloon car, a lorry and an Easy Coach Bus got into a head on collision.

They all survived the ghastly accident with minor injuries while others who suffered major damages were rushed to hospital.

Garissa University is set to resume operations in January after Deputy President William Ruto directed the varsity's Senate and Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi to meet and set a reopening date.
