PHOTOS: Uhuru Visits Villagers in Their Mud Houses

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday mingled with residents of Ndigu-ini village in Kiambu County, visiting some of them in their semi-permanent and mud houses.

The president was in the area to inspect the progress of electricity connection to different households.

Kenyatta was accompanied by Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter, Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, and  Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung'wa during the tour.

“Every Kenyan who needs electricity must be connected. The days when electricity was a preserve for the well to do is long gone. The approach we are taking will bring equality,” Kenyatta said when he addressed the residents .
