Places Pope Francis Will Tour in Kenya Revealed

The Committee planning Pope Francis' visit to Kenya has released details on his Itinerary from the day of arrival to departure.

According to the announcement, the Pope is expected to jet into the Country on Wednesday 25 as from 5pm, after which he will immediately head to State House where he will hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Pontiff is expected to close the day after meeting Diplomats then head to the Vatican Embassy in Westlands, Nairobi, where he will spend the night.

On Thursday, the Holy Father will hold a public mass at University of Nairobi where a specially designed alter has been constructed. The historic mass is expected to receive worldwide audience with millions set to follow through various television channels.

As per the plan, the Catholic leader will visit United Nations Environmental (UNEP) offices at Gigiri and also meet religious leaders at St Mary’s School Grounds in Nairobi.

The three day visit will come to an end on Friday where he will hold a church service in Kangemi slums before proceeding to Kasarani stadium where he will address thousands of youth.

Afterwards, he will meet Bishops at the same venue which will mark an end to the tour.

The visit by Pope Francis, who will be on his way to mark a Jubilee celebration for Ugandan matyrs, will be a historic event with many having different expectations from the Vatican leader.
