Two terror suspects were on Thursday arrested by police in Bungoma while trying to cross to Uganda.
The suspects identified as Onesmus Dennis Muli from Makueni and Destereo Oduor from Busia County were in possesion of photographs of potential target buildings in major towns across the region .
While addressing the press,Bungoma County Commissioner Mohammed Maalim said the police managed to recover four mobile phones, digital cameras, eight mobile phone chargers and a solar powered charging panel from the suspect.
Maalim alluded that members of the public notified immigration officers and security agents on the suspicious fellows.
The Commisioner said the two appeared in court the same day but the prosecution appealed for more time to carry out investigations.
The suspects also found with female identifiation documents were handed over to the Anti Terror Police.
“They were trying to dodge the police by giving wrong information,” remarked Maalim assuring that security persons at the border of Kenya and Uganda are on high alert.
