A police officer was on Sunday shot in the head during a meeting held by Embakasi Member of Parliament John Ndirangu in Kayole.
The officer, who was arresting a suspect upon orders issued by the MP, was shot by an unknown assailant in the huge crowd
Confirming the incident Kayole OCPD told Kenyans.co.ke that the officer was rushed to a local hospital in the area and on Monday discharged.
Police have since launched investigations on what led to the shooting as they hunt down the unknown gunman.
Meanwhile, the man who the MP had ordered he be arrested was taken into police custody alongside one other suspect.
