Pope Francis to Visit Kangemi and These Other Places

Pope Francis will meet with residents of Kangemi on his last day in his three-day visit to Kenya from November 25, the Vatican revealed on Saturday.

In every state that the pope has visited, he has always met the needy people explaining why he would be mingling with faithfuls at a small parish in Kangemi.

According to the official itinerary, as soon as he touches down, Pope Francis will head to the Statehouse where he is scheduled for a meeting with President Kenyatta and the Kenyan administration.

The first Latin American Pope is also expected to hold an inter-religious meeting with leaders from other denominations and lead a mass at University of Nairobi.

The Pontiff will also meet with the youth at Kasarani Sports Centre, the same venue where US President Barack Obama addressed the nation during his visit to the country this year in July.

After the meeting at Kasarani the leader of the Catholic Church will head to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where he will be seen off as he departs to Uganda, and later finish his African tour in Central African Republic.

During his stay in Kenya, the government announced that unlike Obama's, roads would not be closed.
