A prison officer was on Saturday afternoon accidentally shot dead by his colleague in Eldoret.
The unfortunate incident is said to have taken place at the Kenya Service Estate as the two officers were engaged in a quarrel.
Eldoret Prison boss Joseph Kabiru confirmed the incident with three people being arrested to aid in the investigations.
Last week a police officer accidentally shot himself and a suspect he had arrested in Kayole area Nairobi.
The incident took place while the officer and his two colleagues were transporting a group of suspects in a police vehicle.
His gun accidentally went off hitting him and the suspect on the legs.
Both were rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital.
