Raila Holds Breakfast Meeting at His Karen Home After Food Poisoning Incident

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has sent out a message to the country just a day after suffering food poisoning.

Speaking to the media at his Karen residence in Nairobi, Odinga assured the nation that he was out of danger following the incident which caused speculations and sparked a heated debate especially on social media.

“I'm out of danger now after the food poisoning incident,” he stated.

The ODM leader was apparently speaking on Thursday morning after hosting a breakfast meeting with friends at his Karen home.

On Wednesday evening, his spokesman Dennis Onyango revealed that Odinga had been rushed to the Karen Hospital where he was diagnosed with food poisoning.

According to Onyango, the former Prime Minister had been treated and discharged and was recuperating at home.

The Spokesman further stated that Odinga would fly to South Africa to visit his daughter Rosemary who has been receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital for the past one week.
