Several prominent persons in the country celebrated birthdays on Thursday, including Opposition Leader Raila Odinga, Kibra MP Ken Okoth, Journalists, Julie Gichuru and Jeff Koinange.
Odinga's daughter Rosemary was among many who sent the former Prime Minister heart-felt messages as he turned 71.
'Happy Birthday to you Dear Dad. Thank you for being the best history teacher I have ever had, you are the coolest!'
Mr Okoth who is lauded for his exemplary management of Kibra's Constituency Development Fund, spent the eve of his 38th birthday catering for the welfare of Starays Secondary School in his constituency.
Turning 50, Jeff Koinange was also among the celebrities born on the 7th of January. Through his social media pages the renowned TV host could not stop thanking Kenyans for the many good wishes.
Julie Gichuru, 42, spent her birthday at her Company Office where collegues treated her to a cake feast. The former Citizen TV anchor sent gratitude messages to hundreds of her fans who wished her a Happy Birthday.
