Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Monday attacked Deputy President William Ruto, over remarks the DP made rubbishing Odinga's stand on the Euroond issue and the current State of the Nation.
Speaking during an Interview on Citizen TV, Odinga said Ruto was a 'hypocrite' who was not taken seriously by anyone in the country because of his questionable ways.
“How much is his word worth so that I waste my time trying to repond to what he said?” Odinga said in response to claims by the DP who called him an 'economic sabateur' and a stingy man who “cannot donate mucus to a tree.”
“Everybody knows that William Ruto is very economical with the truth and has been sued by his own neighbours over land grabbing,” said Mr Odinga in reference to land grabbing allegations implicating Mr Ruto.
Odinga shed light on the 2013 case where the High Court ordered Ruto to surrender to Adrian Muteshi, 70, a 100-acre farm in the lush Rift Valley and pay compensation of Sh5 Million.
The CORD leader further questioned where Ruto got money to donate Millions at fundraiser functions across the country, yet he earned less than him while he was the Prime Minister.
“Look at him and look at the way he conducts himself in this country. It is very embarassing to this Nation...yet he is jumping out there saying he is very generous while others cannot donate mucus to a tree,” said Mr Odinga
The two who were once political allies, have since their fall out been engaging in counter attacks, over the State of affairs in Government.
