Ruto is Being Oppressed by Uhuru - Jirongo

Former Lugari Member of Parliament, Cyrus Jirongo has urged Deputy President William Ruto to beware of the “oppressive marriage” that he is in and take action.

Speaking at a funds drive in Kesses Constituency in Uasin Gishu, Mr Jirongo told the DP that he was tricked by President Uhuru Kenyatta's camp and got into a coalition that had done nothing but turn him into a slave

"Hii ni Ndoa ya mateso kwa deputy president (The DP is in an oppressive marriage), he should get out immediately and come we make a union to walk out of slavery together, when we merge forces nobody can stop our power in the masses," he stated

The United Democratic Party (UDP) Leader, highlighted that Ruto lost command in his stronghold, Rift valley, making him subject to "ridicule and intimidation" because of the merger between The National Alliance (TNA) and United Republican Party (URP),

He further urged President Kenyatta to first apologise to Kenyans and his Deputy before speaking of exonerating him from the International Criminal Court (ICC).

“Uhuru and his camp should stop being hypocritical; claiming that they are praying for Ruto yet they are the ones who set him up,” Mr Jirongo stated.

The former Lugari MP further accused the President of being a key leader in the former ruling party, Party of National Unity (PNU) making him privy to knowledge of fixing Mr Ruto at ICC.

This comes days after Jubilee MPs spoke out during Ruto and Sang's interdenominational prayer meeting at DEB Primary School in Meru town, where they urged all potential witnesses including leader of Opposition Raila Odinga to present themselves at ICC and testify for Ruto.
